spring and the biggest yarnbomb in sa

South Africans are celebrating the start of Spring tomorrow.

Friends and I will also start work on the biggest yarnbomb ever in SA. Ideas magazine launched this wonderful project in their September issue on page 51 (Afrikaans edition).

You are invited to knit or crochet with us, anywhere in the world, with or without friends. So much better if you can do it in a coffee shop. We'd LOVE to see photos of your crafting and you're more than welcome to post it on Craft Share's face book page. C x

invitation to craft-in-a-coffee-shop on thursday 1 september

This is an official invitation to everyone who knits or crochets:

Join myself and my friends by knitting or crocheting in a coffee shop anywhere in the world, on the 1st of September. And by posting your photos on Craft Share's Facebook page.

In South Africa we celebrate the beginning of Spring on this day and some of us will start work on a very exciting project: the biggest yarnbomb to be held in South Africa in February next year at the Coca-Cola Dome, in conjunction with Ideas magazine and Homemaker's Expo. The September issue of Ideas magazine is on sale now (you can suibscribe to the digital version of the magazine here) and explains what shapes, sizes and colours are needed for the yarnbomb.

I'll be at my friend Anisa's shop, Succulent Cafe, at Woodlands Mall in Pretoria from 10:00 on Thursday, crocheting and knitting flowers ...

Hope you'll join us, wherever you are! C x
