Can't think of anything else I would rather do on a Friday morning in early winter. Crocheted with Antoinette, Daphne, Maryna, Sonja and Wilna, while Heidi started an embroidery project. Here's "who did what". C x
After a wonderful Easter break for most of us, Anisa, Annelize, Cornel, Emsie, Juta, Magriet, Marie, Maryna, Ronel, Saartjie and Sonja crocheted and knitted together again on Friday. Everyone had something new and beautiful to show, because we love to craft over long weekends and holidays. Here's what we all did. C x
Have to say, I've enjoyed every single Craft Share since the 4th of September 2009! This week Anneke, Annelize, Jeanette, Karen, Marie, Maryna, Sonja and myself enjoyed the novelty of sitting around a table with friends, doing something we all love. People I meet often tell me that the art of chrochet is near extinction. They have NO idea what is really going on! Have a look at what we did here. If you'd like to try the chrocheted rose Marie did (bottom row centre), click on this link and scroll down untill you see the pattern. Hope you have a chance to sit back and relax this weekend. C x
Craft Share on Friday 25 February was all about hexagons. Magriet tried it for the first time (and succeeded beautifully). We crocheted it in Sharon Anderson from Michigan's American translation of my English pattern and it worked (thanks Sharon!). I LOVE how small the internet, facebook and blogs make the world. By the way, please visit Craft Share on facebook (and 'like' it) if you feel the same about crochet/knitting/embroidery/sewing as me.
Here's what we did. Hope you're having a fabulous weekend. C x
(double crochet or dc in English crochet terms = single crochet or sc in American crochet terms
spike double crochet or sdc in English = spike single crochet or ssc in American
treble or tr in English = double crochet or dc in American)
I had so much fun this morning. Daphne, Karen, Juta, Marie, Antoinette, Anisa, Ronel, Johanette and Marinda were all crocheting around my diningroom table. Craft Share mornings are filled with chatter, inspiration, brilliant jokes, creativity, colour, new patterns, new skills learned and lots more. Thank you to every one of you who shared it with me. Here's what we did.
Have a great weekend! C x
The first Craft Share of a new year is like a lucky packet - full of (everyone's crafty) surprises.
We chatted about travel a lot:
Daphne's seen the world (literally almost),
Theresa and her family had a skiing holiday in Poland,
Magriet's husband has Wanderlust and of course she accompanies him,
Juta spent a month overseas last year in July,
Ronel is a self-confessed Francophile,
Sonja (wants to take photographs in Tuscany)
and me (I have so many lovely London-Paris-pics to show you, can't wait!)
Here's what everyone did. C x
PS Craft Share is now on Facebook! Follow this link to have a look at our the first album.
What a lovely way to end Craft Share for this year!
We had a prominent (!) table at Anisa's exciting new coffee shop next to her now famous decor shop, Succulent Decor.
A big thank you and a warm hug to Alna, Anisa, Anneke, Daphne, Marinda, Ronel, Sonja and Theresa. I love sharing your passion for crochet and knitting. C x
PS. Here's what we did.
