about me

Hello! I’m Cornel and I blog about things that inspire me, things I’ve made and Craft Share, the craft group I started in 2009.

You'll find lots of crochet on my blog, as well as my crochet and sewing projects for Ideas Magazine, since September 2011.

crocheted cake topper

My best weekends are the ones where I get to do what I want, at least on the Sunday (does that sound selfish or like the ultimate luxury?) And what I wanted this weekend was to play around with the look-and-feel of my blog and to crochet. That's why, on Sunday, I worked on my next project for Ideas Magazine's March 2013 issue: crocheted bunting of about 2 meters (6,5 feet) long in cream and white 100% cotton yarn. I really enjoyed designing the 3 motifs to make up the bunting and just for fun tried a mini-me version of the same motifs for the adorable little cake topper in the photo above. This is such a great way to 'dress up' a yummy cake or desert. I might just do one with little white crocheted snowflakes for Christmas lunch. C x
