about me

Hello! I’m Cornel and I blog about things that inspire me, things I’ve made and Craft Share, the craft group I started in 2009.

You'll find lots of crochet on my blog, as well as my crochet and sewing projects for Ideas Magazine, since September 2011.

paris is always a good idea

I have very fond memories of my first trip to Paris in January this year. My visit to La Droguerie, taking illegal photographs inside the shop (say "No photo!" with an irritated French accent) and buying 100% linen yarn the colour of my eyes. Que vous tricot ou crochet, ou non, en visite à Paris est toujours une bonne idée ...

Linen yarn... Such a simple yet delightful material. I remember the days when linen was the choice of "simpler class", but even then, as a child, I'd choose linen over anything else. The smell of it! The colour is divine & the texture of the hat shows it off so well. And I always wondered why Parisians struggled to smile or comment with a lighter attitude. Suppose its part of "le charme"
